With our unique combination of English, Irish, Scottish, American and Jewish music, coupled with both home grown and well known dances, the Green Kite Ceilidh Band offer a dance experience like no other.
Born as 'Green Kite Midnight' at an impromptu barn-dance at the Climate Camp in the City in April 2009, the band continues to follow its vision of using the power of music and fun to bring people together for good causes.
In keeping with this principle, we operate as a collective. No two Green Kite ceilidhs are the same, but every one will carry our quirky signature blend of the traditional and the radical. Instruments which could appear on the night include include: bodhran, fiddle, mandolin, flute, guitar, piano, banjo or bass. Don’t worry about the steps, we’ll take you through them on the night.
